Ben Simpson was married in Missouri to Elzira Jane Wisdom, in 1839. They had one son, John T., for many years an attorney at Sheridan, Or. After the death of his first wife Ben Simpson married Nancy Cooper, in 1843. They had 10 children. After his second wife’s death he was again married.
