About 1674 – 1743
From VAN EATON & Allied Families, by Steven Earl Coulter, 1974:
Abraham Lefevre, son of Isaac Lefevre & Janneken Boudounck; bpt July 3, 1687 at the Dutch Reformed Church of New York, according to Chidsey. Abraham died about 1743 in Pennsylvania. He may have lived for a short time in Bucks Co., Pa., before finally settling in Philadelphia County, in what was then New Bristol Twp., later Worcester Twp. (now in Montgomery Co., Pa.) Here, on Oct 5 1710, Abraham purchased 500 acres of land. Abraham married Mary _____; at least one son: Johannes.
From “A VAN ETTEN – VAN EATON GENEALOGY” by Kitty Bell Van Eaton Ruggles.
Isaac’s son, Abraham LeFevre evidently felt the call of the frontier. With many Dutch pioneers from New York, he crossed New Jersey and on into Pennsylvania. Perhaps he stopped for a short time in Bucks County before finally settling in Philadelphia County, in what was then known as New Bristol Township, but later Worcester Township (now in Montgomery County). Here on October 5, 1710 he purchased 500 acres of land. By a deed from Abraham LeFevre to John Switzer dated June 6, 1720, we learn that his wife’s name was Mary. Nothing more is known of Abraham and Mary LeFevre although it is quite certain that they had a son named Johannes who was naturalized between January 9, 1729 and 1730. Records show that Johannes or John was one of twenty-five taxpayers of Worcester Township in 1734, and that he paid quit rents previo.us to that time. He was probably born be-tween 1708 and 1710. 3
