John Beedle’s burial place was not found in family trees; only Richmond was stated in the histories. His wife was Susannah Wilson.

He very possibly was buried in this cemetery where his son James B. and other descendants were buried. There must be a number of the old markers that were lost over time. The cemetery seems very unkempt from the photo.

There seems to be another old cemetery right by this one called Beedle Cemetery. Perhaps that was John Beedle’s burial place, as well as that of his wife Susannah Wilson. That cemetery was not transcribed. John Beedle was buried either in this cemetery (Beedle Road) or the other Beedle cemetery nearby (untranscribed so far).

This cemetery information can be found on the site called “Richmond Cemeteries Sagadahoc County, Maine” by V. F. Thomas of Bass Harbor, Maine. V.F. Thomas located and transcribed some of the old cemeteries in Richmond. That website is http://www.vfthomas.com/Mainecemeteries/SagadahocCounty/Richmondcemeteries/BeedleRoadCemetery.htm

John Beedle Sr. and his wife Susannah Wilson had several other children aside from John Jr, James B., and George Washington Beedle.

John Beedle’s son John Jr. thought that his father may have been born in Tiverton, Devon, according to the history he wrote in 1865, though he could not be positive. (Another genealogy mentioned Halberton.)
